8 June
A TNI force from various units gathered together
all the local women at two locations: the Lawe
Simanok state primary school and the Beutong
village state Islamic junior high school. After
the men of Lawe Sawah village had fled into the
jungle and all the women were gathered at the
two schools, their wealth was seized by the
troops and the women were beaten, stripped and
groped by the TNI troops in a group. Many among
them were brutally raped. This was continuing at
the time this report was compiled. |

In Pulo Cut village, Bakongan District, Acheh
Selatan Regency, after failing to find GAM
soldiers, TNI kidnapped villagers including 2
women; 1) Cut Indrani, 18; her house was also
burnt. |
